to create and fuel an interest in scientific education and training in young children and prepare them for science school
to guarantee a basic understanding for scientific methods
Science School
age: 6-19
mission:
to gain proficiency with scientific methods
to become familiar with basics in STEAM subjects
to provide necessary knowledge to enable graduates to continue with scientific university
Youths Science Camp
age: 8-18
mission:
to create and fuel an interest in scientific education and training in kids and teenagers
to guarantee a basic understanding for scientific methods
to prepare teenagers for a possible assessment prior to entering the SpaceXplorationAcademy
thoughts:
currently 193 recognized nations on earth if 100 nations are willing to send one child per year per age group on state sponsored training
if each course will run for 14 days per group assuming 13-15 children per group there could be 7 rotating groups per course/age group pa.
This results in two parallel groups per course pa. and a total of 20 groups each day for 365 days, or a total of 1000 children and 70 courses pa.
states would have to guarantee sending girls and boys alternating pa.
participating states would send one child per age group pa., or 10 children in total pa.
participating states could select children via school contests, application assessments or various other processes
applicants should be sponsored for transportation and costs covering their entire stay with SXA
training should be delivered by scientifically trained facilitators and include former astronauts
each group could be supervised by 2 coaches, requiring 40 coaches per day delivering training
adding STBY, vacation and training updating ec. the number of required trainers for the youth program could be estimated to be somewhere in the 30-40 range
Scientific University
age: 19+
mission:
to gain proficiency in space related science and engineering fields
to attain a university grade training
to provide necessary knowledge to enable graduates to continue with SXA space pilot programs
to supply SpaceX with graduates to populate internal research programs
SpaceXploration Academy
age: 19+
mission:
to train spacers for SpaceX and other spacefaring entities (Blue Origin, national space programs)
to build a spacer corps capable of fulfilling various different mission profiles with vehicle related specialties
to set up an integrated training center usable by the various space program entities to train in habitat mock ups or with different vehicle set ups and simulators
to aggregate all different types of trainings in one location to reduce logistical complexity and long term cost saving
to fullfill crew needs for SpaceX’s anticipated fleet strength of 1000 Starships by 2050, and assuming operational status of half of the fleet at the same time and a conservative setup of 2
crew members per ship per flight as well as two STBY crew members
further estimating a training time of three years at a minimum per space pilot we look at a minimum of 4000 trained crew members over the next 30 years and 12000 training years
adding to this possible trainings for other entities like Blue Origin and national space programs
space pilot training to include
survival training in hostile environments (sea, desert) preferably close to training facility location
fitness/sports
centrifuge
basic scientific training
basic flight training
vehicle specialist training (space ship handling, vehicle engineering and repair training)
